Mode of action
Krebs cycle takes place inside the mitochondria and produces citrate. The citrate is bound to Acetil-CoA to go out to the citosol. In the citosol the ATP-citrate liase separates the citrate fraction that goes back into the mitochondria and the acetil CoA is afterwards used in the formation of fatty acids.

Garcinia cambogia acts as competitive inhibitor of the extramitochondrial enzyme ATP-citrate liase, for this reason it reduces the synthesis of fatty acids in the organism and the possibility of their accumulation. Besides, it increases the synthesis of hepatic glucogen.

Reduces the production of low density lipoproteins and cholesterol.

Increases the production of heat in the body and thus it helps to burn the calories generated at the consumption of food.
